Extra Performance

An ultra-digestible recipe in which we've removed anything that could upset your digestion: milk, gluten, cereals... to keep you going for as long as possible.

A no-slump recipe with no added sugar (just the sugar naturally present in the fruit), for controlled, smoothed-out energy, with no glycaemic spikes. All while maintaining the energy intake required for around an hour's exercise. ​

A recipe concocted in the kitchen of our Michelin-starred chef and co-founder Yoann Conte. Enhanced by delicious, crunchy and melt-in-the-mouth foods for a 100% texture effect. A soft base for ultra-easy assimilation, even when you're exerting yourself.

A rapid supply of carbohydrates ​

They are ideally suited to all types of effort, whether low or high intensity. Why is that? Because their rapid carbohydrate intake better meets the needs of high energy consumption. But also because their texture makes them easy to chew, while keeping you feeling full and satisfied! For longer, endurance-type efforts, our bars complement our natural gels and purees. One does not replace the other! On the contrary, they all work together and give you the opportunity to alternate tastes and textures to avoid becoming bored. 

Not just carbohydrates

In addition to their optimal carbohydrate content, our bars stand out for their high fat content, thanks to the large number of oilseeds present and the subtle touch of extra virgin olive oil they contain. An exceptional quality olive oil, one of the richest in polyphenols and antioxidants. 

Cereal-free cereal bars

At Baouw, we often refer to our products as ‘your cereal bars’. Probably out of habit. But in reality, that's not true: our Baouw energy bars contain no cereals whatsoever. And we obviously have good reasons for not using them. Cereal bars are rich in gluten, which we don't recommend.


For all these reasons, and to avoid digestive problems during exercise, we've replaced cereals with noble foods: fruit, oilseeds, vegetables, spices, plants and even olive oil.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE ​

A bar during a sports session (1 bar per hour on average, depending on intensity) or simply as a healthy snack.

If you see white spots on the surface of our bars, it's simply rice flour, which prevents them from sticking.

Store away from humidity at between 15° and 25°.

FAQ

In your Baouw, you'll only find fruit, vegetables, oilseeds, plants, spices and extra virgin olive oil. All these foods are organic. You'll also notice that we don't use the term ingredients, but foods, because we prefer ‘real’ cooking. Sports performance is important to Baouw, but only if it goes hand in hand with health.

Baouw products don't have a use-by date, just a best-before date (from the day of production, which is the recommended best-before date) that can vary from 12 to 24 months from production. This means that you can eat them even after this date: they may just have lost a little taste or hardened a little.


The products are preservative-free. The recipes have been designed to contain antioxidant ingredients (extra virgin olive oil, fruit, spices, plants, etc.) and to be as unrefined as possible to ensure maximum naturalness and long shelf life. Thanks in particular to their highly protective packaging.

Your Baouw are suitable for all sports in general, not just endurance sports. The composition of the recipes guarantees a continuous and healthy supply of energy, whatever the activity. The frequency of use, however, depends on the type and intensity of the activity.

Your bars, purées and spreads can also be enjoyed as healthy snacks throughout the day.

Your Baouw energy bars contain no cereals. And we obviously have good reasons for not using them. Cereal bars are rich in gluten, the enemy of the intestines. They are acidifying, often refined with empty calories and very sweet. This is not the case with all cereal bars, but it is important to read their composition carefully before consuming them.
