At Baouw, this commitment to nature and people is in our DNA. It's even the reason we were founded in 2017. To offer an alternative to this sports nutrition that shows little respect for your health and our planet.
To achieve this, we follow an action plan guided by B-Corp, a certification rarely obtained by brands because it is so demanding. This is where we have decided to focus our efforts and our performance approach, with a view to adding this certification to our wall of trophies as soon as possible!

For us, on the other hand, our aim is to leave no trace. To reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. No, our products don't cross the Atlantic Ocean before ending up in the pockets of your rucksack or trail bag, they've been thought out and designed right next door to you!
THE SHORT CIRCUIT, WITH NO SHORTCUTS
In the mountains, we prefer long hikes, those that last for hours and take the longest paths. To prolong the pleasure.
But in our manufacturing process, we focus on proximity. We always source and manufacture as close as possible, at three production sites, two in the South of France, the other in Catalonia. We also work on the traceability of raw ingredients.
To do this, we set up supply chains. So that we can put a face and a story to each raw foodstuff we receive from our producers.
PACK IT AND WEIGH IT!
Packaging is one of our main issues. We're always looking for the best solution between eco-responsibility and practicality when opening our bars and compotes. Even if it costs us more.
We are aware that this is not enough, and we support our partners in developing even more sophisticated products. We are also avoiding over-packaging: the elimination of our smallest box formats and the increase in the volume of our energy compotes are a step in this direction.
THE IDEAL IS ON THE PREMISES!
We work exclusively with local partners. Our communications agency, our logistics provider and our designer all live next door. Because we are convinced that the circular economy, by revealing local talent, will prevent progress from going round in circles!
As part of a responsible approach with a positive impact, we associate ourselves as much as possible with B-Corp certified companies. This label certifies that the company meets social and environmental governance and transparency requirements.

At Baouw, we don't ask that question! Our commitment is not only to the planet, but also to the people who live on it. People are at the heart of our concerns and our corporate culture.
