Nicolas's baouw in the race
Presentation
Born in 1986, Nicolas Martin grew up in the mountains of southern Isère. After starting out playing football until he was 15, it was while accompanying his cousin that he discovered trail-running and took a liking to it. For a number of years, he pursued his new passion for pleasure. A nature lover, it's in these areas that he feels most at home.
In 2010, following a meeting with Patrick Bringer, his current coach, he turned to a professional approach. And so began a list of achievements for this pillar of the French national team that would be the envy of many!
RECENT TRACK RECORD :
- 2nd in the WMTRC Chiangmai: 80km - 4450 m+ (over 4,000 ft)
- 11th in the Mont-Blanc Marathon: 24 km - 1680 m+ (altitude gain)
- 1st in the Trail de la Cité de Pierres: 30km - 1520 m+ (6 miles)
- 4th in the Festival des Templiers: 79km - 3550 m+ (9 miles)
- 2nd in L'Échappée Belle: 20 km - 1900 m+ climb
- 1st in the Trail des Passerelles du Monteynard: 65km - 3300 m+ (over 10,000 ft)
