Natural performance

Designed for intense efforts to fill up on energy: the new Baouw natural energy gel combines performance, naturalness and pleasure. Baouw energy gel is made from natural, 100% organic ingredients and preserves your health over the long term. The high fruit content gives you natural sugar without glycemic spikes, and blends perfectly with agave syrup. The glycemic index is particularly low: only 15. Olive oil provides you with a source of good lipids that can be used directly during exercise, and helps to smooth your blood sugar levels. Baouw energy gel ingredients are naturally rich in essential vitamins and micronutrients, including calcium, magnesium, iron and potassium. Thanks to our expert nutritionist and star chef Yoann Conte, the gel is gentle on the gut, which is already inflamed from exertion, so it's much easier to digest. It's also very practical, thanks to its compact, easy-to-grip, resealable bottle, which means it can be consumed in several doses. Non-sticky and fluid, it's easy to assimilate, and will also help you avoid the pasty mouthfeel of a classic energy gel. You can consume up to 2 per hour to reach 60g of carbohydrates. It performs better than a conventional energy gel.  

100% natural gels as opposed to ultra-processed gels

Conventional energy gels are mostly made from water and glucose syrup. With our alternative, made with organic fruit (around 60%) and agave syrup, you can enjoy the same energy as a classic gel in the short term, while benefiting from a healthy composition. And that's without counting the taste of the fruit, unlike the use of flavourings which often leave a chemical aftertaste.

2-in-1 use

This natural gel is also an innovation in terms of practicality. It can be consumed pure as an energy gel or diluted in 500ml of water to make an energy drink. It's a great way to achieve the carbohydrate levels your body needs by alternating between energy gel and energy drink.

FAQ

In your Baouw, you'll only find fruit, vegetables, oilseeds, plants, spices and extra virgin olive oil. All these foods are organic. You'll also notice that we don't use the term ingredients, but foods, because we prefer ‘real’ cooking. Sports performance is important to Baouw, but only if it goes hand in hand with health.

Tes produits  Baouw n'ont pas de date limite de consommation, simplement une date de durabilité maximale (à compter du jour de la production, c'est la date de consommation optimale conseillée) qui peut varier de 12 à 24 mois à partir de la production. Ce qui signifie que tu peux les consommer même après : elles peuvent seulement avoir perdu un peu de goût ou avoir durci un peu.

Tes produits sont sans conservateurs. Tes recettes ont été pensées afin de contenir des ingrédients antioxydants (huile d’olive vierge extra, fruits, épices, plantes ...) et les moins raffinés possibles afin de préserver un maximum de naturalité tout en assurant une conservation longue. Notamment, grâce à leur emballage très protecteur.

Your Baouw are suitable for all sports in general, not just endurance sports. The composition of the recipes guarantees a continuous and healthy supply of energy, whatever the activity. The frequency of use, however, depends on the type and intensity of the activity. 

Your bars, purées and spreads can also be enjoyed as healthy snacks throughout the day.

The main difference between your gels and your purées is the carbohydrate content. Your purées, with no added sugar, contain an average of 15g of carbohydrates, whereas your gels contain 30g thanks to the natural sugars in the fruit and the added agave syrup. 

The texture of your purees is more satiating because they're a little thicker, and the recipes are either savoury or sweet, so they're better suited to medium-intensity, long-duration efforts. Your gels, which are more concentrated, provide a real boost, are better suited to intense efforts and can be consumed either pure or diluted in a 500ml flask.
