Hors Sentiers by Baouw is the podcast that takes you where you least expect it. We talk about sport, nutrition and, above all, we share beautiful stories of athletes from the outdoor world. You'll find, alternately: an interview to discover a personality who opens up like never before in a natural environment that is dear to them; and a format in which nutrition takes centre stage and we are happy to combine it with convictions and emotions. So, what are you waiting for to get off the beaten track with us?

Join us for this 11th episode of Hors Sentiers by Baouw with the trail runner who needs no introduction... but we're going to introduce him to you anyway ;) : Thibaut Baronian.
Coming from a background in cross-country skiing, where he achieved promising results at national level in the junior categories, Thibaut discovered trail running by chance as a discipline in its own right when he moved to Besançon in 2010.
His rapid progress quickly brought him to the attention of the Salomon Espoirs team, led by Jean-Michel Faure-Vincent, who decided to recruit him. Thibaut went on to achieve a string of successes, gradually building up an impressive list of achievements.
In 2017 and 2018, he decided to gradually put his professional career on hold (Thibaut was then a physiotherapist) to devote himself fully to trail running. He went on to achieve major results at the highest level, with a 3rd place finish at the CCC in 2021, a 3rd place finish on the Golden Trail Series circuit in 2022, a 3rd place finish on the legendary Zegama-Aizkorri in 2019, where he still holds the French record to this day, and most recently in 2023, the title of French Short Trail Champion.
In this special episode, he opens the doors to his family home, takes us with him on the trails of La Roche-sur-Foron that marked his first steps as a teenager, and, drawing on his training as a nutritionist, discusses his nutritional principles throughout the year and during competition periods.
You will find him true to himself, committed, serious but also always light-hearted and ready to step off the beaten track so that this discipline remains an absolute pleasure for him, regardless of the demands imposed by the high level at which he practises it.
Thibaut's story is one of gradual learning, discipline and confidence built up over the years, making him a major and essential figure in this sport for more than 10 years.
Thibaut's story is simply the story of a good bloke.
So, what are you waiting for? Come off the beaten track with him!
