Simon Guglielmi, our Savoyard cyclist from Chambéry, is what we call a real climber. He knows how to show his endurance on long climbs and rides in the Arkéa-B&B Hotels team, which has been supporting him for 3 years now. He recently showed his talent on stage 14 of the Vuelta, where he took 7th place and finished in the top 10. In 2023, he will also be taking part in the Tour de France for the first time, finishing 69th.

Simon is described by his coaches as being able to take the initiative, not afraid to raise his hand and always motivated. All these qualities make him a promising rider who has more than enough to surprise us.

baouw's advice for simon

30' before the start: 1 energy bar

During exercise : 1 energy gel or 1 energy bar alternately every 30 minutes. 1 energy gel diluted in 500 to 750ml of water (depending on heat conditions)

For a carbohydrate intake of between 60g and 90g (depending on your tolerance).

Simon is a professional runner and his carbohydrate intake is higher than that of the average sportsman, for whom 30g to 40g of carbohydrate per hour is more appropriate.
