If you notice white spots on the surface of our bars, this is simply rice flour, which prevents them from sticking.

After opening, store in the refrigerator for a maximum of 48 hours.

Spread: store in the refrigerator for an even creamier texture.

To preserve your arm sleeves and extend their lifespan:

  • Treat them with the same care as you would a pair of tights.
  • Slip them on gently, rolling them rather than pulling hard on the edges.
  • Avoid rings and jewellery that could damage the fabric

Frequently asked questions

 The main difference between your gels and your purées is the carbohydrate content. Your purées, with no added sugar, contain an average of 15g of carbohydrates, while your gels contain 30g thanks to the natural sugars in fruit and the added agave syrup. 

The texture of your purées is more filling because they are slightly thicker, and the recipes are either savoury or sweet, making them more suitable for medium-intensity, long-duration exercise. Your gels are more concentrated and provide a real boost. They are more suitable for intense exercise and can be consumed either neat or diluted in a 500ml flask.

Baouw products do not have an expiry date, just a best-before date (from the date of production, this is the recommended optimal consumption date) which can vary from 12 to 24 months from production. This means that you can still consume them after this date: they may just have lost a little flavour or become a little harder..

Your products are preservative-free. Your recipes have been designed to contain antioxidant ingredients (extra virgin olive oil, fruit, spices, herbs, etc.) and as few refined ingredients as possible in order to preserve maximum naturalness while ensuring long shelf life. This is achieved in particular thanks to their highly protective packaging.

We recommend that you hydrate regularly at a rate of 500 ml/hour of exercise on average, adjusting this amount depending on the heat and how much you are perspiring. 

After 1½ hours of exercise, you can start adding electrolytes to your water to compensate for the loss of minerals (sodium, magnesium, potassium and calcium) that are ‘escaping’ through your sweat. 

You can also add carbohydrates to your drink, either with our gel, which can be diluted in 500ml of water and provides 30g of carbohydrates, or with an energy drink powder.
