At Baouw, we make unique purées, unlike the ultra-processed and hyper-sweetened products that are commonly found in the sports nutrition world. First of all, our energy purées are organic! And more than just energy compotes, they contain no added sugar, only the natural sugar found in fruit.

OPTIMISED FOR YOUR NEEDS

They are ideal for all types of exercise, whether low or high intensity. Why? Because their rapid carbohydrate intake better meets the needs of high energy consumption. But also because it becomes more difficult to chew when the intensity of the exercise and your heart rate increase! For longer, endurance-type activities, our purées complement our energy bars and natural gels perfectly. One does not replace the other! On the contrary, they all work together and offer you the opportunity to alternate flavours and textures to avoid getting bored.

What are the main ingredients used in your Baouw products?

In your Baouw, you will only find fruit, vegetables, oilseeds, plants, spices and extra virgin olive oil. All these foods are organic. You will also notice that we do not use the term ingredients, but foods, because we favour ‘real’ cooking. Athletic performance is important to Baouw, but only if it goes hand in hand with good health.

What is the difference between industrial compotes and your Baouw purées?

Industrial compotes usually contain additives and added sugars. Baouw purées contain only the sugars naturally present in fruit. These sugars are better absorbed by the body. They are also higher in calories because they contain lipids (from extra virgin olive oil) and proteins (more present in savoury recipes). They provide all the nutrients you need during exercise and are therefore much healthier for you.
