A UNIQUE COMPOTE ​

At Baouw, we make unique compotes, the opposite of the ultra-processed, hyper-sweet products you regularly find in the world of sports nutrition. For a start, our energy compotes are organic! And more than just compotes, they contain no added sugar, just the natural sugar in the fruit.

OPTIMISED FOR YOUR NEEDS

They are ideally suited to all types of effort, whether low or high intensity. Why is that? Because their rapid carbohydrate intake better meets the needs of high energy consumption. But also because it becomes harder to chew when the intensity of the effort and your heart rate spike! For longer, endurance-type efforts, our compotes complement our natural energy bars and gels. One does not replace the other! On the contrary, they all work together and give you the opportunity to alternate tastes and textures to avoid getting bored.

In addition to their optimal carbohydrate content, our purées are remarkable for their good fat content, thanks to the subtle dash of extra virgin olive oil they contain. An exceptionally high-quality olive oil, one of the richest in polyphenols and antioxidants.

FAQ

Les compotes industrielles contiennent la plupart du temps des additifs et des sucres ajoutés. Tes purées Baouw ne contiennent que les sucres naturellement présents dans les fruits. Ces sucres sont mieux assimilés par le corps. Elles sont également plus caloriques car elles contiennent des lipides (issus de l’huile d’olive vierge extra) et des protéines (plus présentes dans les recettes salées). Elles permettent de garder tous les apports nécessaires pendant l’effort, tout en étant sain pour ton corps.

La principale différence entre tes gels et tes purées c'est la teneur en glucides , tes purées , sans sucres ajoutés, contiennent en moyenne 15g de glucides, tes gels en contiennent 30g grâce aux sucres naturels des fruits et au sirop d'agave ajouté. 

La texture de tes purées est plus rassasiante car un peu plus épaisse et les recettes sont soit salées soit sucrées, elles sont plus adaptées aux efforts d'intensité moyenne et de longue durée.  Tes gels, plus concentrés procurent un véritable coup de boost, ils sont plus adaptés aux efforts intenses et peuvent être consommés soit purs soit dilués dans une flasque de 500ml.

In your Baouw, you'll only find fruit, vegetables, oilseeds, plants, spices and extra virgin olive oil. All these foods are organic. You'll also notice that we don't use the term ingredients, but foods, because we prefer ‘real’ cooking. Sports performance is important to Baouw, but only if it goes hand in hand with health.

Tes produits  Baouw n'ont pas de date limite de consommation, simplement une date de durabilité maximale (à compter du jour de la production, c'est la date de consommation optimale conseillée) qui peut varier de 12 à 24 mois à partir de la production. Ce qui signifie que tu peux les consommer même après : elles peuvent seulement avoir perdu un peu de goût ou avoir durci un peu.


Tes produits sont sans conservateurs. Tes recettes ont été pensées afin de contenir des ingrédients antioxydants (huile d’olive vierge extra, fruits, épices, plantes ...) et les moins raffinés possibles afin de préserver un maximum de naturalité tout en assurant une conservation longue. Notamment, grâce à leur emballage très protecteur.

Tes Baouw sont adaptées pour tous les sports de manière générale, et non pas uniquement aux sports d'endurance. La composition des recettes garantit un apport d’énergie continu et sain, quelle que soit l’activité pratiquée. La fréquence d’utilisation dépendra en revanche du type d’effort et de son intensité. 

Tes barres, purées et pâtes à tartiner peuvent également se prendre en encas sain tout au long de la journée.
