IN DETAIL
New packaging, same recipe
New look, same taste, same recipe, same nutritional quality! We've recently redesigned our energy purees. The ingredients and taste remain the same.
UNE purée UNIQUE
A comforting and satisfying velouté of sweet potato, orange, carrot, olive oil, passion fruit, Guérande salt and Timut pepper.
At Baouw, we make unique compotes, the opposite of the ultra-processed, hyper-sweet products you regularly find in the world of sports nutrition. For a start, our energy compotes are organic! And more than just compotes, they contain no added sugar, just the natural sugar in the fruit.
OPTIMISED FOR YOUR NEEDS
They are ideally suited to all types of effort, whether low or high intensity. Why is that? Because their rapid carbohydrate intake better meets the needs of high energy consumption. But also because it becomes harder to chew when the intensity of the effort and your heart rate spike! For longer, endurance-type efforts, our compotes complement our natural energy bars and gels. One does not replace the other! On the contrary, they all work together and give you the opportunity to alternate tastes and textures to avoid getting bored.
ULTRA PERFORMANCE & ultra-healthy
In addition to their optimal carbohydrate content, our purées are remarkable for their good fat content, thanks to the subtle dash of extra virgin olive oil they contain. An exceptionally high-quality olive oil, one of the richest in polyphenols and antioxidants.
It's in our DNA to offer a healthy, creative and surprising alternative in the rather predictable and industrial world of sports nutrition. At Baouw, we are committed to pushing back the frontiers of the mainstream by offering a range of responsible bold and ultra-gourmet choices for enthusiasts in search of a surprising taste experience. Always respecting the nutritional quality of the food required for exercise. That's why Yoann Conte, our Michelin-starred chef, and Benoit Nave, our expert nutritionist, work together.

FAQ
Most industrial compotes contain additives and added sugars. Your Baouw purees contain only the sugars naturally present in fruit. These sugars are better absorbed by the body. They also have more calories because they contain fats (from extra virgin olive oil) and proteins (more present in savoury recipes). They allow you to maintain all the nutrients you need during exercise, while being healthy for your body.
The main difference between your gels and your purées is the carbohydrate content. Your purées, with no added sugar, contain an average of 15g of carbohydrates, whereas your gels contain 30g thanks to the natural sugars in the fruit and the added agave syrup.
The texture of your purees is more satiating because they're a little thicker, and the recipes are either savoury or sweet, so they're better suited to medium-intensity, long-duration efforts. Your gels, which are more concentrated, provide a real boost, are better suited to intense efforts and can be consumed either pure or diluted in a 500ml flask.
For more information on this subject, see the article : energy gels and purees!
In your Baouw, you'll only find fruit, vegetables, oilseeds, plants, spices and extra virgin olive oil. All these foods are organic. You'll also notice that we don't use the term ingredients, but foods, because we prefer ‘real’ cooking. Sports performance is important to Baouw, but only if it goes hand in hand with health.
Your Baouw products don't have a use-by date, just a best-before date (from the day of production, which is the recommended best-before date) that can vary from 12 to 24 months from production. This means you can eat them even afterwards: they may just have lost a little taste or hardened a little. This means that you can eat them even after that date: they may just have lost a bit of flavour or hardened a little. What's the difference between your Baouw gels and purees?
Your products are preservative-free. Your recipes have been designed to contain antioxidant ingredients (extra virgin olive oil, fruit, spices, plants, etc.) and to be as unrefined as possible in order to preserve as much naturalness as possible while ensuring a long shelf life. Thanks in particular to their highly protective packaging.
Your Baouw are suitable for all sports in general, not just endurance sports. The composition of the recipes guarantees a continuous and healthy supply of energy, whatever the activity. The frequency of use, however, depends on the type and intensity of the activity.
Your bars, purées and spreads can also be enjoyed as healthy snacks throughout the day.
