At Baouw, efficiency goes hand in hand with high standards. We have therefore carefully studied the formulation of our isotonic drink to come up with a recipe that smashes the stats:

• Energy: 38g carbohydrates + vitamins + 100mg taurine
• Hydration: 828mg of the 4 essential electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium)
• Endurance: 1000mg of BCAA (4:1:1 ratio) * + vitamins C, E and zinc (antioxidants)
• Digestive protection: isotonic formula + carbohydrate ratio 1:0.8 + 100mg of glutamine

The right sugar, at the right time

Our isotonic drink does more than just ‘give you sugar’: it provides you with highly digestible carbohydrates, including:

• a glucose/fructose ratio of 1:0.8, which implies two complementary digestive absorption pathways 
• organic cassava maltodextrin (DE 10), which is preferred over corn maltodextrin due to its better tolerance and moderate glycaemic index ​ 
• organic cane sugar, naturally rich in minerals

What are the benefits of isotonic drinks during exercise?
